Terror strikes Mumbai again. Time and again, we have undergone these barbaric acts and time and again we have spoken of "Mumbai bouncing back ". Ppl who say this need to have a real check of their facts . Mumbaiites are humans , we ain't courageous ,no we ain't . Even we are scared of terror , even we need peace . But as they say - the "city never sleeps" is so true , but in the other sense . The city never "gets" to sleep;thanks to these terrorists. I don't want to raise an issue here , but where are the MNS activists who alleged that their city is getting polluted by Biharis. Why don't they do something about these terrorists as well ? They r "Pure outsiders" , ain't they?

So, who's to be blamed ? Pakis or our own Govt. ? The paki terrorists have run ruckus and have managed to receive unprecedented success by carrying out this heinous crime in India.Now few pakis (i'am sorry for using this word - Paki , but with the kind of personality those ppl have, this word too seems less deserving) reading this blog wud object on whether or not they r to be blamed . Well, Pakis, we've got the proof. Ur country's image is out in front of the entire world. Make no mistake , the whole world's watching this action that's still going on in the Hotels . The posh hotels of Mumbai had been attacked last evening (26.11.2008) by Pakistani assailants who had made a different approach this time to attack the island city . They didn't use the aerial route, they didn't use their usual RDX ..but this time, they attacked from the front (probably coz they knew that world were calling them cowards for not facing the crowd ) , but terrorists , we will still call u cowards probably becoz u have "hijacked" the hotels and firing indiscriminantly on innocents . Pakis are responsible for these attacks no doubt . They r one country who don't like to see their neighbors prospering unnaturally. They wanted to remind us the "attacks on JW Marriott , Islamabad" can be done on Indian soil as well. What can we call such a barbaric act as ? Act of cowardliness. A dastardly carried out by miscreants who allege that the muslims in in India ain't getting the proper treatment. All I can tell them is - "Get a life ! ".

I believe the Govt. has loosened out it's stand on terrorism . This present Govt. can hardly be had faith upon. The main religion of India - Hinduism is being taken for granted . I don't want to sound religious but I stand by my stance of taking stern action against Islamic outfits . I believe the Pakis are enraging the Indian muslims , and there's no reason on y we must cut bilateral ties with Pakistan. Let it remain isolated . When the Govt. of Pakistan ( well, so called govt. ! ) can't do anything about , it means that the country is "governed" by terrorists. There r 2 such countries which with the help of US and other fire powers need to be blown up - Afghanistan and Pakistan.

This has been one of the worst Terror attacks India has faced and it's been called - India's 9/11. We have had enough of blood bath this year ...oh God, please relieve us from this pain. They say that this is the "Kalyuga" (in Indian Mythology) and that the Hindu God - Lord Vishnu will take birth as "Kalki" in this period and he's the only saving grace to say the least .

The battleground - "Taj" and "Trident" ( Hotels ) in here is still on. I wonder how many more casualties will be reported in the future , but let me take this opportunity to salute the dead Policemen who laid their lives for our prospering country. Salutations to ATS (Anti Terror Squad ) Chief - Late Hemant Karkare , Encounter specialist - Late Vijay Salaskar and Mumbai ACP - Late Ashok Kamte.May their souls rest in peace. The Gunda-Raj in Maharashtra doesn't seem to die as of now. It's just spreading like wild fire . What's the fight basically about ? Why is North India and West India (Read Maharashtra) divided all of a sudden ? Who's to be blamed ? Who's affected ? Common man like us. Will this ever end ? This blog is neither a bashing for Mr. Raj Thackeray nor is it a bashing for UP/Biharis. This is a blog from a common "Indian". An Indian,who wants to live in peace and not in haste . An Indian who loves his country more than any specific culture of India. An Indian, who neither hates Mumbai ( Maharashtra ) nor hates North Indians.

Feb 9th 2008 : MNS (Maharashtra Navnirman Sena ) , a political outfit of Maharashtra starts its violent campaign against Biharis/ UPs (North Indians ) , to protest against the lack of facilities provided to Maharashtrians in their own state, in Railways. By the term "Violent" , I quite literally mean it. Beating , Lathi-charge, Bashing up , Pelting stones over Taxis , Autos (Run by North Indians ). The same day I was traveling in an Auto,which I reckon was run by a Maharashtrian. I was unaware of the situation , neither was the Auto-Driver. I was heading to my office , and on the way , a stone hit the Auto's front portion near Santa Cruz area. The driver was obviously pissed ( He didn't know the situation ). He headed straight towards the guy who had the guts to stand infront of him despite knowing what he did. That guy was having a huge stick with him. Oblivious to the situation , the driver asked him on what on earth was he thinking while throwing that stone. The guy asked - "Are u from UP Or Bihar ?" . The driver replied back that he was from Satara ( Maharashtra ). After listening to this , the guy apologized and said that the political party would pay for the breakage charges.He informed him about the situation ahead and warned him not to go ahead. Now u guys must be wondering, y was that question of his source asked ? Read on... Despite of the warning,I insisted the driver to go ahead , as it must be some prank. The driver was skeptical , but went ahead. We were just talking about the situation..the North -West divide. He was quick to back the Political Outfit , claiming that whatever agitation they r under going, is quite justified since they (Maharashtrians ) are outnumbered by the Biharis in Railways. I asked him - " Agreed, but then , don't u ppl appear for the Railways' Exam as well ?". He replied in an affirmative tone. He went to to say - "What are we asking ? Place in our own state ? Isn't it pathetic ? ". I wanted to stay away from all this but couldn't resist.I asked him - "U want to "ask" ? What do u mean ? Whoever clears the exam, only will be getting a seat. There's no easy way out for this . U can't achieve success with the help of these hooligans". The driver was quiet ... may be he understood what I meant. He turned his head back, and asked me whether I'am from North India? I smiled and gave an answer - "I'm neither from South,nor North..neither East nor West.I'am an Indian"

Oct. 21st 2008: Same story... I was in an auto which was driven by a UP guy. The guy was obviously nervous to take me , due to the sensitive situation, but I assured him that nothing wud happen. The debate of UP,Bihar - Maharashtra divide ignited once again , with the driver asserting that they are right in what they r doing. He said that there's nothing but unemployment and poverty in his state, so they have no other option but to come down to Mumbai to earn a living. So, where else do they go ?!

Who's to be blamed now ? Going by the way the driver said, I think the State Govt. of UP and Bihar are at fault. The govt. failed to provide employment , shelter , food to their own sons. As a state, both UP and Bihar have completely failed. But what's new in this ? This city has been a city of dreams for all "outsiders". If u've noticed a common stuff about this city , we all know that this city is cosmopolitan. Infact , the city has only 40 % of the population which are maharashtrians.Rest,needless to mention, are from various parts of India. So what's wrong in it ? While I presume to be neutral in this North-West divide , all I can say is that we ain't going to achieve anything from this . Who achieves from this? Politicians . While I feel that Raj Thackeray (MNS Chief ) is 50 % true in what he claims , and 50 % insane , I also support the Biharis who are 50 % right in their own stance. But eventually the common man's suffering... Either ways, from Bihar's point of view or Maharashtra's point of view ; It's a loss only for India. A country with such contrasting colors of problems , who are fighting amongst themselves to earn a piece of bread. One on side, where we are celebrating for the success of Nuclear Power signing with US , we are also peeved by such obstacles. It's a pity that these people ( Maharashtrians ) are only being fooled by the "son of the soil", who are spreading disharmony and are proving to be a huge threat to the National Integrity. However I do agree somehow with his point , but if he gets down to goonda-ism ,it's just not going to work. Come let's stay united , Come let's make India one.

Just about a week complete,and boy,what an eventful week it was for Mumbaiites!The sunday mayhem,followed by the Terrible Tuesday...it was one week,which all of us would remember for sure.The Mumbai blasts made it's news in every newspaper worldwide.Such was the havoc it created.Ppl talk about the true spirit of Mumbai blah blah...but what's with this ? Does spirit just mean,getting back to work? Hello!,Mumbai is the financial capital of India,if this city goes into hibernation,wonder what'll happen to our country?Still not convincing,isn't it ?!Everyone has to earn,everyone wants money...does anything work without cash?Mumbai is a small city,with a mammoth population,a metropolitan city,a city with diverse culture,a cosmopolitan city...a place that attracts many ppl,all through out India.A place which is often called- > "A city where in u can earn lot of money,anyhow!"

That was something about our city and our culture....but in comes the darker side.We here,have faced so many attrocities.It all began from March 12th 1993,and until now,every Mumbaiite fear the worst everyday.Everyday,we fear,whether we would reach our home safely.Who's to be blamed ?The Govt.?or The Stars?

Astrologers are nothing but blowhards to be frank.On July 11th,when the bomb blast took place,it seems,Mars and Saturn were aligned in the same direction.So?Any significance?! Well,when they knew this,then y didn't they write about it?,not that,we here could have stopped the inevitable...but still,where were they prior to this?

Many lives have been lost...some have lost their limbs,some are still fighting death.The PM of India,just visited the injured...now then,just a condolence..a pure condolence.Has he done anything?It's payback time.Did the injured actually get any compensation?Corrupt Politicians all over the place,who play hide-and-seek games,or the blame-games with each other.Presently Congress is on Power,so BJP/Sena (Opposition) plays the blame-game.We need a leader...a true spirited leader who can lead our country with an example.It's unfortunate that,ppl like Indira Gandhi and Rajiv Gandhi are shot/assasinated.Ofcourse,they too were a bit corrupted no doubt,but just imagine,where would Punjab have been today,had Indira Gandhi not started the Operation Blue Star?Agreed,she had to kill 1000's of ppl to keep the country united,but one must salute her way of handling things.She being a female,didn't care about her life...she knew that,the moment she started with the Operation Blue Star,she was calling for trouble...

We need such leaders...do we still have in it ? It's a dangerous neighbourhood I'am afraid.Pakistan is already there in the list....but now,it's Bangladesh too.(almost a continuation of Pakis,...earlier called East Paki...no wonder!,it's living upto the name too!). I'am afraid to say,but the muslim terrorists in Paki are just cursing their own religion...by doing all this,they are projecting their religion in a wrong manner...the world now understands that religion as a rather "Disturbed" one.No hard feelings,but this is the truth.In India,we are still tolerating it,we still call ,that Hindu-Muslim brothers...but then,y to live on a false foundation? Whatever happened on Tuesday,is bothering,but it's a pinch on our arms...wake up people,wake up.The Terrorists have already intruded into India...trying to disturb the calmness that we've maintained in our country admist such high drama.Those jerks have called upon Indian Muslims to fight against the Hindus,now why the hell do they want that?!If they really are bullied here,they would have left for Pakistan or wherever,long ago.But it's high time now...we need to teach the Pakis/Bangladeshis/Afghans a lesson....just one nuclear bomb....the end of all nuisances.I know that's naive,but then...JUST ENOUGH OF IT! WE CAN'T TAKE MORE OF THIS INSANITY.

G.W.Bush and Indian Prime Minister M.Singh just talk big about nuclear deals,economy,and "How to Combat Terroism".Some one should explain them,that Terrorists are outwitting them. Bush who is yet to actually find Osama-talks big on how to fight united against terrorism.Ironically,Indian Foreign Secy. said,that India and Pakistan together must fight terrorism. Mr Secy.,whom are u asking help?Your "Apoplexic and Chameleon type" of neighbor?!

I wonder why are we so tolerant.We are surrounded by Insanes (Countries).Why are we persecuted?Afghan is a penurious country,which wants nothing but blood all over the earth.They can be called,Man-Eaters!If that's the case,then y doesn't the entire world stand to-gether to just finish things off in Afghan? Lets face the fact..Afghanistan hates the entire world.It's a country which in ranked n.o. 1 for producing the likes of Osama Bin Laden,and Taliban.Is it so difficult to actually fight a single country when the whole world is on one side? As far as I know,the entire Public,including the Indian Govt. officails,praised Rang De Basanti, but I  didn't know that,they ain't gonna take the film seriously.Inshort,as the say,the movie was "just a movie"..mere entertainment.

No denying that the movie has pulled lot of crowd,and is running successfully even now.Our Ex-P.M., A.B. Vajpayee hit a dialogue.."Suraj ko main nigal  gaya...",after watching the movie.Now,the real story...the movie showed the MiG crashes,and the problems faced by the family after deaths of their sons.It seems that Govt. has learnt nothing..nothing at all from the movie,which highlights MiG crashes.

MiG belongs to the IAF (Indian AirForce),which is being imported from Russia since independence.Any common man could blame the Russians for all the crashes..but there are certain hidden facts. In the movie,it's picturised that the Defence Minister is a corrupt politician.Who knows what's the true life story.Who's responsible for these crashes? A couple of days,back,yet another MiG crashed in "Beed" in Maharashtra (Western State in India).It was the 59th MiG crash in the last 5 years. Wonder what's exactly going on in the Defence ministry..whatever it is,they better find a remedy quickly,else I reckon,the public could actually draw inspiration from the movie!

The parents of the Dead Pilot are furious over the Govt. for the continued dismal show in producing MiG's without any defect.His father says that, he would have proudly said to all ,-that his son sacrifised his life for India,-had he joined army.But with these recent MiG crashes,he says that his son became the Victim of "Politics" (as shown in RDB).

This is complete negligence on the part of the Govt., who haven't taken any step to improve the standard of MiG's. The pressure is building on the Govt. now,unlike it was earlier.May be it's the RDB effect,can't say.The public is "rising".The Jessica Lal case has taken a huge turn,and who knows,her soul would rest in peace atleast by the end of this year! ( we know how fast the HC works!).It seems that MiG planes will be completely stopped only by 2011.Long way to go. So,does that mean,there around 50-60 crashes more,to say the least? The way the n.o.'s are shooting up,one can say,50-60  crashes more in another 5 years,seems to be inevitable. In this present state,will this generation's boys bravely stand up ,and join IAF ?

Remember the lyrics of "Swades" ?where in,a stanza states-"Tujhe hain pukaara".It means,the nation is calling u.I don't know whether Swades was inspired from a real-life story or was it "just a movie",but this man,K.L.Tyagi,an Indian Scientist,definetely had a say on Swades.He says that,what he saw in Swades was just half of his own story.The name,"Tyagi",one can say,means,"Sacrifice" in Hindi.He surely sacrificed his NASA Career for his country.

In the movie Swades,Shahrukh Khan,returns back to India,and sacrifices his NASA Career,to serve for his country,to be precise,for his Village.Similarly,here in real life too,KL Tyagi returns back to India,due to what u can say,"India Calling".

Tyagi completed his studies in India.He was called upon by NASA,USA in the mid 70's.He worked in NASA for about 6-7 years,until,the Indian Govt.,impressed with Tyagi's performance,asked upon him,to serve for India.To be specific,the Govt.,asked Tyagi,to carry on a research on "Infrared Detectors".

But what u call it fate,or something,his designs were rejected,and some other local scientist(Who was below-par compared to Tyagi) was considered,and sadly Tyagi was over-seen.Call it "Politics" and not better work done by that other person!In India,students who are grads,go abroad for their Masters.Well,if an out-sider wants something to do in India,all he/she can do is,join politics.Politics is rather competitive here,and can be compared to doing Masters in US/UK.Take for example,Sonia Gandhi,an Italian married to Late.Rajiv Gandhi,who is holding all the cards now!

Tyagi is 70 now.He's annoyed and insulted,so he should be.Seeing this case,one can pop up a question,is it worth-while looking back,if u travel abroad to US/UK and earn a lot of name and fame there.Was Swades ,unrealisitic?Will u respond to "India Calling"? Ofcourse,this question is for those,who's career is related with Politics.The one example of Tyagi isn't sufficient I think to prove this. What would u ppl have done,had u been in the place of Tyagi?

4 Days since my V-Day blog,and I'am already left fuming!Blame it on one of the most trusted person who did completely wrong things,at the wrong time,and at the wrong day.The culprit reading this blog,will surely feel the heat. I bet,I'am going to be relentless with u,thats for sure.

The previous blog had created a lot of controversy as expected..but I think it went slightly awry.A bit too much was written by me,which left the actual person who had a crush on me ,in a tizzy.Well,plz,gimme space ! This is my Space...I've every right to write what I want.U have absolutely no right to question me on what I wrote,and why I wrote...Its my space,but of course,this sentence is for that "Culprit".

This V-Day has left many in a tizzy,I must say,including me!In Kalyan (Mumbai),the ppl celebrating V-Day had to face the music of Politicians...that political party which is powerless,flexed its muscles with ordinary ppl,to prove that they are still having that Power (SHIV SENA).The things that Shiv Sena,did,was unmentionable.They stripped the men,and didn't even spare the women!One Teenage Girl was stripped there for standing and celebrating with her Boy-Friend.Some escaped the wrath.Some while trying to escape were caught on the road by the Shiv Sainiks.They were brutally belted.

Sigh..these Sainiks,are one without any brains,no wonder they don't get voted at all...the party which was kept was a cultural party,and not a V-Day party.Ok ok,so what if it even was a V-Day party? India is said to be Democratic,Secular blah blah..but the writing is clearly on the board...we are harrassed,by our own country-men.Shiv-Sena should be banned for behaving like this.They claim that,we are immitating the West,with all this V-Day etc..but then,who are they to stop the party?

I agree,in some places,things slip out of control,some cross the limits,stating that they actually love their GF's.But no such cases were reported.Its a free country,every one has the right to love a person...ofcourse unless and until u don't cross the limits and follow the culture.In Punjab,a group called ABVP,forcibly married couples seen to gether! Woah..thats the height of it...! We have a certain unique culture,no doubt,but there are some ppl who are charecter-less,who just love beating up ppl..what Shiv Sena did to that girl cannot be forgiven.I guess,its one of the most ill-mannered things u can ask for.If Shiv-Sena could actually strip a girl,assault innocent women,is that called Culture?! Excellent...keep it up...no wonder Shiv Sena is subdued...

"Sir,can u please give me a penny,I'vent had food for a long while".Who says this? The moment we see those words,I'vent had food for a long while,u immediately think about a Beggar.Isn't it?

Yes,ofcourse,this blog is about poverty.Hope I don't bug u all up with some true facts highlighted in this blog.Because,Truth is always bitter.

I was returning from the temple on Saturday evening,when I saw this mother-son begging for money.I was carrying a few "Prasadam" with me.I thought...prasadam is truly a prasadam,it is nothing but a blessing given by god.So,then,y not bless these poor people too? They badly are in need of it.Why? Am I wrong?Beggars aren't allowed inside temple/church/mosque.Then,why is it called a temple/church/mosque?Aren't beggars humans?

Bombay has the world's highest poverty.Only here u can see shanties and huts next to the Le Meridian or Taj or any 5 star hotel or even Airport for that matter!Beggars..the name itself is enough to insult a human being.You curse ur boss that he'll be a beggar in his next birth.So,that's the "Value" of a beggar!

Indian government claims that it has done a lot in the last few years,in economic field.It recently achieved the 10000 mark in the BSE SENSEX (BOMBAY STOCK EXCHANGE),which they claim is remarkable.(PLZ,I seroiusly don't understand this...i love watching those n.o.'s go high though...though I don't understand the meaning of it ! ).Ok,then,so as the govt claims that it has achieved lots in the last 3-4 years,and is ready to challenge the US. US made a point when they said,that India is riding on a high,but what about the style of living? Thats a dose of reality.

We are still not knowing the reason for all the poverty here.BSE SENSEX is on a bull ride,but Who's at benefit? "Humans" only?! Mebbe yes!

India has so many organisations for children who are home less.Like for example C.R.Y.. My father regularly donates to that organisation hoping that it actually is reaching their hands..mean the children's hands.We don't know.But we are satisfied that we are donating...!Are the money that we are donating actually reaching their hands? Did the money we donated to the Tsunami victims actually reach the victims? or did the Government eat it?

Here's something that we all can do to help the so called beggars....

1. Even one rupee is enough for them, to keep themselves alive... (so,if we all contribute,won't it be wonderful?)

2. Even one week's meal- is enough for them, to keep themselves alive...

3. Even one smile towards them, can keep them alive...

Be generous,donate atleast 1 rupee if really want that our country should be poverty free.Because,we the "humans" only can save them.Donate,but make sure that it  goes in the right hands...

Who doesnt know Mahatma Gandhi?His name,Mahatma,means,a Respectable Soul.He is the person who maintained silence in his entire life,but eventually succeeded too in handing over independence to India from Britishers.This is a known  fact.Ppl through out the globe recognized India because of Gandhi.While others like Nehru,Mohammd- Ali Jinnah used to lose thier cool in crunch situations when the atrocities by the British Raj where upto their Peak,it was Gandhi who was calm,and this infact frustrated the Britishers in turn.The only time he had lost his cool and temper was,when Jinnah proposed for a seperate nation called Pakistan.There were efforts made by Gandhi to prevent the partition,but I guess it was inevitable in the end,that they seperated...now we know why it was compulsory,they partitioned!

Anyways,in this New Generation,one must admit that,many of us ridicule Gandhi.Some of us,don't agree with his satyagraha approach that he adopted in those days.Well,even during those years,the ppl of India never thought that Satyagraha will be the victor!The then British P.M. also used to try to taunt Gandhi,and even called him "Half-Naked Fakir" once,which ofcourse still rings like a bell in our heads.That showed the frustration of him!

These days,even in India itself,some "kids" don't respect Gandhi.Sad but true.Why only kids,even the politicians,who have just played a spoilt sport on modern times,have never admired Gandhi.One best example of it is Mr.Narayan Rane of Congress,who has displayed the photo's of Sharad Pawar,Sonia Gandhi etc..instead of Gandhi.When asked,he says,they are my mentors.Woah! Excuse me,sir,without Gandhi,would these mentors ever would have got this name?!

Some feel,that under pressure,the Britishers would have eventually given Independence sooner or later,even without Gandhi.In Hindi,these people are termed , "Ehsaan-Faramosh".They truly "deserve" that label.

In a recent poll conducted by a news paper,a question was thrown to the common public.They were asked on what was the occassion on Jan 30th?   Some dis-heartening answers given,which ofcourse shows the present culture..which is changing fast. Well,if u r really interested in knowing their replies...here it goes...

1.  No Idea...I've to check my history books,which I had thrown it long ago !

2. Is it Preity Zinta's Birthday?  (Indian Actress)

And here comes the best of the best...those Oldies,who claim themselves that the present culture is too western and mordern...said , "I dont remember my history.I failed in History in my 9th Standard.I don't know really."  

I bet,if Gandhi was alive today,he would be literally crying seeing the present condition.We boast of our unique culture etc,but many of us don't know what exactly our culture is! We immitate what the West does,instantly,because we believe that West is better than East.This is a bitter fact.

In India,and why only India,rest of Asia itself...we wear T-Shrits of  " I LOVE N.Y.C" (New York City).And flags of British or USA. Has any one worn the t-shirt symbolising their own country? If we ever wear that,we are ridiculed,and said.."Hahah...ur country's Flag on the Shirt? Any cricket match today or something?"

Well,for those who are still waiting for the answer on what was the occassion on Jan 30th,it was the "Matryr's Day",means,the day when Mahatma Gandhi was assasinated by Nathuram Godse,simply because,he felt that Gandhi was actually favouring the Muslims. There are arguements going on,on whether Gandhi said the word, "Hay Ram" or not,when assasinated! Is that an issue?!

So,am I right in concluding that,Gandhi is not being that respect he should be getting even after his death? Many don't...but I can say that,atleast I do.
